UN SDG Social Entrepreneurship Experience
An immersive experience that uses simulation role-play and gamification to enhance participants' entrepreneurial skills, build empathy, solve real world problems and meet the UN SDGs.
It is based on a real social enterprise in India that has been supported by the United Nations Development Programme and is addressing 14/17 UN SDGs.
How it works
This experiential workshop has 3 parts:
1. Build empathy by playing the role of a stakeholder in India’s urban waste management system, where participants will either work in a team or as an individual to meet their livelihood needs by engaging in competitive game activities.
2. Solve the problem by building a financially sustainable business model working in teams, where participants will be challenged to adapt their model throughout, mirroring unforeseen circumstances that occur in real life.
3. Innovate further on real problem statements from the social enterprise in India using Design Thinking to help them deepen their impact.
